Academic & Leadership Journey:
My time here at the University of North Texas has been a challenging one but rewarding at the same time. Throughout my time here I have applied myself and pushed myself to try new things and be more invovled within my university. Here are some of the things I've done:
- Student Alumni Ambassador:
My experience with UNT's Student Alumni Association (SAA) involved promoting pride in the university, supporting alumni and university advancement events, and actively participating in outreach efforts. We represented UNT by engaging with alumni, students, and prospective members at various events, and contributed to fostering a sense of community. This role has strengthened my skills in communication, teamwork, and event management.
- Career Center Ambassador:
As a Career Ambassador, you supported UNT's career services initiatives, likely involving tasks such as helping students with resume building, interview prep, and providing general career guidance. Your role may have included public speaking, collaboration with career advisors, and promoting career events across campus.
- Treasurer:
As VP of Finance for the Latinx Hispanic Student Organization and First Generation Student Organization, I was responsible for overseeing financial operations, which involved budgeting, managing funds, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for the organization’s activities. This role would have developed your financial management skills, attention to detail, and ability to support the organization's events and initiatives.
- Vice-President:
As LHSU's VP of Finance, you were responsible for overseeing financial operations, which likely involved budgeting, managing funds, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for the organization’s activities. This role would have developed your financial management skills, attention to detail, and ability to support the organization's events and initiatives.
